Trocadero Projects is seeking volunteers to join its artistic and operational committees across four exciting positions.

We are currently seeking applications for two artistic positions: Public Program Coordinator and Exhibition Coordinator, and two operational positions: Communications & Engagement Coordinator and Grants & Sponsorship Coordinator.

We encourage applications from First Nations peoples, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, people with disabilities, LGBTQIA+, and the local western Melbourne community.

Applications for all positions close Friday 25 September 11:59pm and interviews will take place between 28-29 September in the evening.



EXHIBITION COORDINATOR POSITION DESCRIPTION

Exhibition Coordinators are responsible for overseeing and delivering the exhibition program at Trocadero as part of the Artistic Sub-committee. The role supports artists with install/de-install, alongside the Install Technician, and assists with administrative duties related to the exhibition program.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Developing strategies to engage Trocadero's audiences, supporters and community
• Supporting fundraising campaigns and initiatives through audience engagement
• Building and maintaining relationships with audiences and supporters



PUBLIC PROGRAM COORDINATOR POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Public Program Coordinator is responsible for co-piloting a range of engaging and inclusive public programs alongside Trocadero’s annual exhibition program.

This shared volunteer role is a unique opportunity for a motivated and creative individual with an interest in developing their skills in the arts, in a real-world and supportive environment. This position works closely with another Public Program Coordinator and is supported by the broader Trocadero Projects committee to help the new Coordinator succeed in the role.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Consulting with the committee to develop a program of events
• Overseeing public programs from start to finish, including coordinating event delivery and collaborating with others as needed
• General committee member accountabilities (monthly meetings, attending openings, etc.)

COMMUNICATIONS & ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR POSITION DESCRIPTION

Trocadero Projects is seeking a Communications and Engagement Officer to help build meaningful engagement with Trocadero’s audiences, supporters and wider community, with a particular focus on supporting the organisation’s fundraising and financial sustainability.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Developing strategies to engage Trocadero's audiences, supporters and community
• Supporting fundraising campaigns and initiatives through audience engagement
• Developing opportunities to turn audience members into donors, supporters and advocates
• Supporting the promotion of fundraising activities, campaigns and sponsorship opportunities
• Building and maintaining relationships with Trocadero's audiences and supporters
• Working with the Grants & Sponsorship Coordinator to support funding and sponsorship outcomes
• Contributing to Trocadero's broader marketing and audience development strategy



GRANTS & SPONSORSHIP COORDINATOR POSITION DESCRIPTION

Trocadero Projects is seeking a Grants & Sponsorship Coordinator to help support the organisation’s fundraising, grant applications and relationships with sponsors and supporters.

This volunteer role is a great opportunity for a current student or recent graduate, arts worker, artist or local community member to build practical skills in arts fundraising and grant writing in a real-world and supportive environment. You’ll work closely with the Trocadero Projects committee and have the opportunity to contribute directly to the development and sustainability of an independent artist-run initiative.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Identifying and researching relevant grants, funding opportunities and sponsorship prospects
• Coordinating grant applications and acquittals
• Supporting the development of sponsorship opportunities and partnerships
• Maintaining records of applications, funding outcomes and deadlines
• Working with the committee to identify funding priorities
• Supporting the financial sustainability and growth of Trocadero Projects
