Trocadero will support a broad range of projects and approaches to art in any medium. We are accepting applications for exhibitions, creative projects and public programs. Proposals that provide a platform for or engage local community/ies are particularly welcome.

We strongly encourage applications from First Nations, culturally and linguistically diverse, d/Deaf or disabled and LGBTIQA+ artists. We will also prioritise applicants living in Melbourne's west.

Exhibiting at Trocadero is now free. At this stage we are unable to offer artist fees or other financial support due to funding constraints. We hope to be able to offer artists payment in future rounds.

SUCCESSFUL EXHIBITION APPLICANTS RECEIVE:

– A five week exhibition (plus additional days for install/deinstall)
– Access to standard installation equipment and resources
– Marketing and communications support, including documentation
– An opening night event
– If desired and where possible, an artist talk or public program
– Exhibition invigilation

SUCCESSFUL PUBLIC PROGRAM / OTHER APPLICANTS RECEIVE:

– Event space at Trocadero to deliver a public program or project
– Access to limited event and/or standard installation equipment and resources
– Marketing and communications support

HOW TO APPLY

– Prepare all the information you need prior to starting the Google application form. You will need to sign in with a Google account to access the form. If you do not have a Google account please email us for an alternative submission method.

– Complete the Google application form online. Give as much information as you can to help us understand your project. Keep things clear and to the point, using straightforward language.

– Trocadero is wheelchair accessible via lift entry and has an accessible bathroom.
– Trocadero will discuss access needs and reasonable adjustments with all successful applicants.
