Craft autobiographical poetry zines with multimedia artist Amie Green in this morning-tea workshop.

Announcing our newest installment of School of Troc, our series of workshops and events teaching art making methods and skills.

Join us for a morning of creativity as we craft poetry zines with artist Amie Green. The morning-tea workshop will see participants guided through the process of autobiographical poetry and mini magazine-making.

Casual and cozy, this workshop is aimed at engaging creativity through first-person narratives in zine format. The facilitator will be giving direction to beginners, and advice to those already familiar with zine-making and poetry-writing.

Workshop Information:
– This is a free event.
– All materials provided.
– All ages welcome. For teens and above.
– Tea, biscuits and nibbles provided.

Location: Footscray Library (Conference Room). 56 Paisley Street, Footscray 3011.
Accessibility: Venue is wheelchair accessible, including ambulant bathroom facilities.
Parking & Transport: Free parking is available on Paisley and French Street, Footscray, next to the Library. Footscray Library is accessible on 216, 220, 402 and 472 route buses, as well as the 82 Tram. The closest train station is Footscray Train station, a 7 minute walk away.

About the Artist
Amie Green is an artist, published writer and editor whose work explores queer digital identities and body horror. She has been published in Voiceworks and sat on their editorial committee from 2018 to 2020. She recently completed a Habbo Hotel-themed thesis at the University of Melbourne. She moonlights in arts marketing and graphic design for small publications, events and festivals around Naarm/Melbourne.
